Why "Roaming Sparrow"?
The sparrow may be a small and common bird, but it is so deeply known and important to God that not one falls without Him watching. If He cares that much for a sparrow, how much more are we to Him? We chose the name Roaming Sparrow as a daily reminder of that truth as we travel our community and share the stories we love.
Our Story
We are a family-owned mobile book company built on the love of great stories, our community, and our faith.
My love of reading began as a small child. Some of my earliest memories include learning all about Ramona in books by Beverly Cleary. In my teen years, I discovered books with a bit of spookiness and mystery by authors such as R.L. Stine and Christopher Pike. Now, many years later, you will still often find me curled up with a great murder mystery.
My husband wasn't much of a reader growing up, but he discovered audiobooks a few years ago. I love it when he gets excited about a new book he's listened to, and it's been so much fun being able to discuss stories together. Knowing how much I've always wanted to have a bookshop, he suggested we finally pursue my passion.
Together, we decided to start this new adventure to create a place where I can share that passion with our community.

What is a "Blind Date with a Book"?
If you’ve never heard of a “blind date with a book” before, let me explain. It’s like a regular blind date where you don’t know what you’re getting until you get there. But, with books!
By buying one of our blind dates with a book, you’ll be getting a book in the genre of your choice. You can also pick a “Surprise Me!” book which could come from any of our available books.
It’s a fun way to be introduced to new authors or books that you may have judged by the cover or title. These also make great gifts for book lovers if you’re not sure what to get them.
Each book is carefully wrapped in paper with extra goodies added to the elaborate folds.
